National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI advocates for access to services, treatment, supports and research and is steadfast in its commitment to raise awareness and build a community for hope for all of those in need. NAMI works to educate, advocate, listen and lead to improve the lives of people with mental illness and their loved ones. They provide information on mental health conditions through a resource library and video resource library. NAMI Affiliates offer an array of peer-led programs that provide free education, skills training and support. NAMI support groups are peer-led and offer participants an opportunity to share their experiences and gain support from other attendees. The HelpLine provides the one-on-one help and information necessary to tackle tough challenges that you, your family or friends are facing. Online discussions groups are also available.
